Ron Klain, a top aide to Joe Biden, has been reprimanded by the federal Office of Special Counsel for violating a federal law.
The Washington Examiner reports that the investigation found that Klain violated the Hatch Act, a federal statute that says executive branch employees cannot participate in political activity in their official capacity.
The offense involved Klain’s reposting on social media a partisan message from a group called the Democratic Strike PAC.
That advertised the organization’s merchandise, the Examiner reported.
“The watchdog issued a reprimand for the violation, warning him not to do it again, and did not take any further action,” the report said.
The social media statement, on Twitter, said, “Operation Fly Formula delivers 70,000 pounds of infant formula for American mothers and their infants. Thank you @POTUS. Get your Democrats Deliver merch today!”
It included a link to a page selling Democrat merchandise.
The federal investigation noted that executive branch employees are banned from “liking, sharing, or retweeting a post that solicits political contributions.”
“Strike PAC is a partisan political group, and according to its website, it ‘supports campaign finance reform and will help elect Democrats who support these vital policies.’ It also has a ‘nationalized strategy’ aimed at promoting the Democratic Party by ‘tell[ing] stories of how Democrats deliver on their promises to improve the lives of voters,’” the letter from the Office of Special Counsel to American First Legal explained.
“In this vein, Strike PAC’s message thanking President Biden served to further the group’s nationalized strategy of promoting Democrats as the party that delivers on its promises to voters. By retweeting this message, Mr. Klain used his official Twitter account to promote a partisan political group’s interests and, therefore, OSC has concluded that he violated the Hatch Act’s use of official authority prohibition.”
The Examiner report noted that previously, Jen Psaki, Biden’s former press secretary, was reprimanded for a violation last year.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Leftwing billionaire George Soros bankrolls everything evil – most recently the 75 pro-criminal “Soros district attorneys” who have transformed America’s most dynamic cities into degraded, crime-infested hellscapes of skyrocketing violent crime. Soros also funds drug legalization, euthanasia, open borders, globalism, Black Lives Matter, “defunding the police,” devaluing America’s currency and destroying her sovereignty. But why?
Whistleblower magazine reveals and explores the stunning truth: Soros, an atheist, literally says he’s “some kind of god,” obsessed with re-creating the world in his image. Here are a few actual quotes from Soros: “If truth be known, I carried some rather potent messianic fantasies with me from childhood…” “It is a sort of disease when you consider yourself some kind of god, the creator of everything, but I feel comfortable about it now since I began to live it out.” “You know, in my personal capacity I’m not actually a selfless philanthropic person. I’ve very much self-centered.” “I am kind of a nut who wants to have an impact.” “Next to my fantasies about being God, I also have very strong fantasies of being mad. … I have a lot of madness in my family. So far I have escaped it.”
Except he hasn’t “escaped it.” Not only is Soros totally mad, but he’s imposing his insanity on America. See Soros and the leftwing world he has created and funded as never before in “THE BILLIONAIRE WHO THINKS HE’S ‘GOD’: Why George Soros is obsessed with destroying America.”
